 The Real Rape of America

Our co-presidents tell us their actions are to protect us from attack by terrorists like those on 9-11. But what is the REAL threat here? >We've had little or no terrorist activity in the US, but what we have had is the illegal wiretapping of thousands of Americans, illegal surveillance of tens of thousands of Americans, and illegal investigations and detentions of hundreds of Americans and foreign nationals who have NO record of dissent, let alone a record of anything which could be remotely called terrorist activity. Yet there has been no concerted outcry, really, against this. And now, the cowboy coalition has signed into law a decree that all government agencies will be overseen by POLITICAL appointees. Let there be dark. The Republican-led Congress had done nothing to curb the reckless abandon with which the Bush co-presidents figuratively and literally pillage and rape our country - and that means each of us, as Americans, are being raped. RAPED. The word itself tastes bad. RAPE. Rape is a serious abuse of power, plain and simple. Cheney and Rumsfeld went into office with the stated goal of increasing presidential powers and they had Rove's carefullly modeled puppet to manipulate. They INTENDED to push the law, and 9-11 gave them the opportunity to get away with a much higher level of dubiously legal action than had it not happened. But this is far too much. There is NO possible justification for the abuses of power our co-presidents and his cowboy militia have forced on an unwilling and sadly, apparently unknowing populace. Not to mention the destruction of the people of Iraq, and soon, if the tyrannical spaghetti-mobster regime can concoct another sham excuse, Iran. The entire rest of the world, who once thought of America as a great nation, now see us as despots. Only now are the American people beginning to awaken to the enormous destruction these marauding constitutional joyriders have inflicted on the very soul of our Constitution. They use 9-11 tirelessly as a mirror which deflects any serious investigation into their activities. They tell us that any disagreement is treason, yet it is they who are sadistically committing treasonable rape upon us... and we who masochistically have permitted the abuse by turning a blinded eye to their actions. We're not talking about flirting which goes too far. We're talking about rape. Continuous, wilfull plundering of our laws, with no concern at all for how it affects us - it is only to give themselves the satisfaction of knowing they can do as they please, the belief that they are untouchable by our laws. How do the victims of repeated rapes act? The first step is often denial, then blaming themselves as if somehow they provoked the abuses. Rarely do they fight back after the attacks... but we must fight back. We must tell our congressional representatives again and again that they MUST stop this madness. It's the only way we, as victims, can regain our self-respect. The self-respect of an entire country - our country - depends on us. There is a growing, grass-roots movement fighting for our survival as a nation. Join us. Join a group whose goals most closely match your own. Speak out and don't allow yourself to be a victim any longer. The law, and justice, are on our side. But unless we invoke the law, until we challenge this behavior, the law alone can do nothing. Speak out. Vote. Call your senators and congresspeople. Write. Demonstrate. Tell the Washington highwaymen that our Constitution is for all of us. That their hijacking of our rights, and our dignity will be permitted no longer. There will be NO MORE. No more War, no more trampling our rights, no more desperado decisions, no more presidential coup d'etat. No More Bush. No more Rape.
